Kick off the 2022 Summer Reading Program, "Read Beyond the Beaten Path," as we welcome Reptile Shows of New England with live animals on the front lawn of the Library on Wed, July 6 at 10:30 am. This free program is geared toward kids entering grades K-5, but adults and younger siblings are also welcome! If you want to get up close and personal with snakes of all sizes, as well as a Bearded Dragon, Tarantula, Tegu, Iguana or a Blue Tongue Skink, this is the event for you. (You can also keep your distance, if you'd like!) Snakes may include Ball Pythons, Carpet Pythons, Rat snakes, Corn snakes, Red Tail boas, Albino Burmese Pythons, Bearded Dragon, Blue Tongue Skink, and Black and White Argentine Tegu! RSoNE says, "During our shows we not only teach audiences young and old about the natural beauty of reptiles, but we present them in a safe and engaging environment. If you or someone you know has a fear of snakes, we can help you overcome that fear while educating you on the amazing facts that are widely unknown about these amazing creatures.
