Astronomy Evenings at The Swansea Free Public Library

Astronomy Evenings at the SFPL continues on July 28, 6:30pm. Roger Menard from the Astronomical Society of Southern New England presents "Mythology & Folklore of Constellations." Learn from an expert about the ancient mythology of gods and monsters and where to find them represented in constellations of the night sky. This is a free family program open to all. Reptile Shows of New England

Kick off the 2022 Summer Reading Program, "Read Beyond the Beaten Path," as we welcome Reptile Shows of New England with live animals on the front lawn of the Library on Wed, July 6 at 10:30 am. This free program is geared toward kids entering grades K-5, but adults and younger siblings are also welcome! If you want to get up close and personal with snakes of all sizes, as well as a Bearded Dragon, Tarantula, Tegu, Iguana or a Blue Tongue Skink, this is the event for you.

MassWildlife hosts this learn-to-fish event at the Swansea Dam.  Instructors are on site to help you reel in your first catch!
