Bubble Time

It's a bubble bonanza as we spend  time outdoors (weather permitting) with bubbles.  All ages are invited to share in the fun on the front lawn of the library.  Come blow bubbles with us.  Bubbles and wands provided.

Earth Day with Animal Experiences

The library is celebrating Earth Day with Animal Experiences.  Join Dave Marchetti as he brings animals and reptiles to this fun, hands on program.  Dave's program focuses on bringing children and adults closer to nature.  All ages are invited.  Vacation week ends with a blast.  Join us for this interactive, entertaining and educational program.

Nature in Your Neighborhood

Join staff from Mass Audubon's Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary as we explore the wildlife around the Swansea area.  The program starts with a talk and activities, then we will explore the Village Park Trails behind the Library. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Swansea Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.  Register online or call 508-223-3060

Meet Dog Musher Karen Land and Sled Dog Noggin

Join us as Swansea welcomes Iditarod Racer Karen Land and her dog Noggin at The First Christian Congregational Church.  Karen will talk about her experiences racing in the Iditarod,  the annual long-distance sled dog race run in early March from Anchorage to Nome.  The Iditarod began in 1973 as an event to test the best sled dog mushers and teams but has evolved into today's highly competitive race. Karen will tell us about her adventures as a musher.
