Kick off the 2022 Summer Reading Program, "Read Beyond the Beaten Path," as we welcome Reptile Shows of New England with live animals on the front lawn of the Library on Wed, July 6 at 10:30 am. This free program is geared toward kids entering grades K-5, but adults and younger siblings are also welcome! If you want to get up close and personal with snakes of all sizes, as well as a Bearded Dragon, Tarantula, Tegu, Iguana or a Blue Tongue Skink, this is the event for you.

Astronomy Evenings at the SFPL begin Thursday, June 23, 6:30pm. Roger Menard from the Astronomical Society of Southern New England presents "Binoculars, Telepscopes & the Night Sky." Learn how to identify planets & constellations using binoculars or telescopes, as well as what cool apps exist to help you locate objects in the night sky. This is a free family program open to all. Spring Story Hour takes place each Wednesday at 10:30 on the Front Lawn of the Library, weather permitting. Join us at the picnic tables for stories and a fun craft. It’s good to be outside again. Preschool story time is great for ages 3-5.

Join the PC+ program for an in-person, outdoor storytelling event! This is a FREE parent-child event for children 18 months through age four. Families will enjoy a springtime performance by Big Ryan! You will also meet your PC+ team and learn more about home-based educational programming available to you and your family!
Feel free to bring a small blanket or yoga mat to sit on. Masks are optional at this time.
