Flowers & Showers Story Hour

The Swansea Free Public Library preschool Flowers & Showers story hour takes place every Wednesday, for children up to age 5 from 10:30-11:30AM. Come join the fun with stories and crafts celebrating Spring.

PLEASE NOTE:  Story Hour takes place at the Christ Church Hall at 57 Main St. 

All children who attend our programs must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver.

Get to know this kaiju from Japan, how these movies are made, and all about turtles in Japan and Japanese culture.

Dog Mushing! Iditarod Talk

Meet Noggin, the sled dog, and her human, Karen Land, Iditarod racer at this all-ages library event! Karen will talk about being a musher and relate her experiences in the Alaskan Iditarod sled dog race from Anchorage to Nome, held every March.
Karen will share her great stories and photos, and will be bringing her sled dog, Noggin, her racing sled, and the rest of her Iditarod gear!

Who says monsters can't be pretty? Join the Squad as we investigate the sometimes dangerous damsels of the deep! 
Mermaids, sirens, and selkies are ready to sing you a tune (and maybe lead you to your doom!).
 
We will discuss the merfolk of history, folklore, and pop culture from all over the world.
