Ebooks, audiobooks and magazines for your devices
OverDrive is a digital service provided by the Library that allows you to borrow and download ebooks, audiobooks and magazines. OverDrive offers you two ways to download your library loans: OverDrive and Libby. OverDrive connects you to the library’s digital collection in a web browser. The Libby app lets you borrow, download, and read on an Android or iOS device. You can access OverDrive by visiting the OverDrive website on your PC, or by downloading the LIBBY app to your Android, iOS or Amazon device.
OverDrive allows you to borrow up to 6 items at a time (not including magazines) and have up to 10 holds. It is a digital collection that works just like a physical library. Most eBooks and audiobooks can only be checked out by one patron at a time per copy. This means that popular books in the collection may be checked out to other patrons. Place a hold to reserve the book and OverDrive will notify you when it is ready. Magazines are always available and do not count toward your checkout limit.
eBooks and audiobooks can be checked out for 1, 2 or 3 weeks, which is a choice you can make in your account. Items are returned automatically on their due date, though you may renew an item beginning 3 days prior to it’s due date if there are no holds on the item. You can also return an item early.
You can visit the OverDrive Help page for more information.
