Intergenerational Poetry Slam!

The Swansea Free Public Library Intergenerational Poetry Slam is an all ages celebration of poetry and performance.

To highlight National Poetry Month, we are hosting a contest where entrants read an original poem in front an audience and some judges. They will be giving points on both poem and performance.

Please keep in mind to bring a poem suitable for a general audience.

Cash prizes in each category:
Adult- 19+
T(w)een- 11-18
Children- 10 and under

Open mic to follow while the judges deliberate.

This is an after hours program being held in our meeting space.

Poets are asked to bring a copy of their poem so the winners can be published on our website and in social media.

We are absolutely excited to fill our new space with performance art and put a spotlight on some local talent.
